“Election Administrator Training Courses” for Potential Members of Precinct Election Commissions

From May 14 to June 2, 2018, the CEC and the Training Center will conduct “Election Administrator Training Courses” at all municipalities throughout Georgia.

Awareness-raising and training course developed by the Training Center as part of the project envisages specific training. A three-day training program focuses on polling day procedures and the issues within the competence of precinct election commissions and are aimed at supporting developing qualified staff of election administration.

By means of a practical teaching method used in the training program, the participants will get familiar with such important matters as:

procedures prior to launching polling;
the voting process, closing a polling station;
procedures to be performed prior to opening a ballot box;
opening a ballot box;
procedures to be performed prior to drawing up polling results summarizing protocol;
developing a polling results summarizing protocol, publicity of the summary protocol.

Members of district election commissions trained by the Training Center and trainers of the Election Administration will deliver “Election Administrator Training Courses”.

Citizens of Georgia aged 18 and above are eligible for the training course. It is desirable if an individual willing to participate in the project has work experience at election adminsitration, experience of participation at election in the capacity of observer, election administration officer’s certificate and/or a certificate from the Electoral Development School. Gender equality principle will be taken into account when forming groups of participants.

Registration of individuals willing to participate in the project will take place during April 10 through April 20, 2018, from 10:00 am to 18:00 pm, except for weekend. For registration, applicants have to complete an application (See the application form available in Georgian) and submit it, along with an identity card, to a district election commission according to project implementation location:
