The representatives of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia and Centre for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training participated in the training arranged under the auspices of the Election Commission of India.
A training course “Capacity Development for Election Management” was organized in New Delhi. Kakhaber Jamurashvili, Information Security Manager and Tornike Gogisvanidze, a staff member of Certification and Project Management Division of the Training Center, alongside with the representatives of election Administrations of 20 countries, took part in the mentioned training.
The main topics discussed during the training were election security, electoral systems of different countries, utilization of modern technologies in election procedures, engagement of ethnic, and religious minorities in the elections etc. Kakhaber Jamurashvili and Tornike Gogisvanidze delivered a presentation on the activities of election administration of Georgia.
The training programme held from March 5 to March 16, 2018 was funded by the Indian government under the auspices of Election Commission of India and was organized by the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM).
