On May 5-11, Chairman of Central Election Commission of Georgia – Zurab Kharatishvili, CEC member David Gurgenidze, head of legal department Archil Anasashvili, Head of PR Department Ketevan Dangadze and Director of Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings Natia Zaalishvili had official visit in France.
Visit aimed to share election experience and review guidelines, manuals prepared by the Central Election Commission and Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings for precinct election commissions, including for media and observers.
Above said documentations were discussed at the meeting by delegation of the CEC and EC Program Manager Igor Gaon, election expert from Croatia – Morana Susek and Swiss expert Patrick Treese. Parties presented their views and recommendations and positively evaluated documentations elaborated by the CEC and Training Center.
Representatives of Commission attended election process of the second tour of the Presidential election ongoing in the country and were introduced with the electoral system of France.
