From February 19 through March 8 the Training Center will conduct a new training program “Developing Professional Skills of Trainers” for members of district election commissions. The training is aimed at supporting institutional strengthening of the Election Administration.
Tamar Zhvania, CEC Chairperson and Natia Zaalishvili, Training Center Director, opened the event. They spoke about the importance of the mentioned project. The goal of the training is to retrain members of district election commissions to ensure effective implementation of civic electoral training projects as part of the election administration mandate and forming a qualified resource of trainers. Giorgi Sharabidze, Deputy CEC Chair and Giorgi Javakhishvili, CEC Secretary also welcomed the participants.
The Training is oriented at practical teaching and the participants will focus on the following key topics:
Trainings will be delivered in 3 stages to 6 teams comprised of members of district election commissions and CEC regional coordinators. Up to 100 election administration officers will take the training program, subsequently, in cooperation with the Training Center, trained officers will ensure implementation of various projects planned for civic electoral education for 2018.
