On September 21 and 22, seminar on – women’s needs and municipal elections were held in Marneuli and Akhaltsikhe municipalities.
Lasha Meladze, representative of the CEC Training Center informed ethnic minority women voters about October 21, 2017 Municipal Elections, as well as competencies of self-governing body – Sakrebulo and Mayor and the role of citizen participation in the process of self-governance. Within the format of the discussion, participants discussed the importance of the voter's rights and the active participation of voters in the elections.
Learning-informational meetings were held in the framework of the East-West Management Institute (EWMI) ACCESS project “Formation of a Voter Group of Ethnic Minority Women” which is implemented by the Levan Mikeladze Foundation and is co-financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The Training Center permanently supports the implementation of learning-informational projects which aims to strengthen women’s engagement in electoral processes.
