CEC and the Training Centre conduct trainings for potential women candidates for October 21, 2017 Municipal Elections.
Deputy Chair of the CEC Giorgi Sharabidze and the Director of the Training Centre Natia Zaalishvili made opening remarks at today’s training and emphasised the importance of afore-mentioned initiative aimed at strengthening women's participation in the election process as well as raising their knowledge about issues related to the elections.
Zurab Khrikadze, the CEC member also welcomed participants and talked about the gender equality in elections and provided them with the information about the activities of the CEC's Gender Council in this regard.
“Electoral system of self-governmental bodies, mechanism for implementing passive suffrage, summarizing election results and procedure of allocating seats, pre-election campaign and administrative resources, electoral disputes” - these are the main topics to which the participants will be introduced.
