19 NGOs funded under the grant competition announced on February 3, 2017, by the CEC Training Center continue the implementation of training projects for the representatives of Political Parties.

Within the framework of the training programs, the participants are being introduced to such important issues, as:

• international electoral standards;
• current electoral system for local self-government elections in Georgia;
• electoral registration of stakeholders, their rights and obligations during the elections process and electoral ethics;
• pre-election campaign/agitation and restrictions;
• conflict management and international standards for resolving electoral disputes;
• communication, teamwork and accountability;
• Inclusive elections (involvement of vulnerable groups).

The initiative, aims to promote the development of electoral capacity of political parties for the 2017 Local Self-government Elections. The training projects are being implemented in cooperation with the CEC Training Center’s involvement, which contributes the training course comprised of the following modules: election cycle and management of electoral operations (model and authorities of election administration); polling day and guidelines for the polling process; credibility and security of elections.

The training activities are being held throughout the whole country (73 DECs). At this stage, 1898 representatives of political parties had already took training course. The Training Center, as a part of its contribution, supports the training programs by providing sign language translation.
