The Training Center is conducting a Training of Trainers course on May 10-11, 2017. After this training, 19 trainers will deliver the training course developed by the Training Center for representatives of political parties.
Tamar Zhvania, CEC Chair and Giorgi Javakhishvili, CEC Secretary opened the event. They highlighted the importance of implementing awareness-raising and educational projects for electoral stakeholders for ensuring informed electoral environment. Natia Zaalishvili, Director of the Training Center, introduced to the participants the CEC and the Training Center initiative to train representatives of political parties as the Training Center contribution in the course of the implementation of the grant projects funded under the competition announced under the aegis of the CEC. In particular, the trainers of the Election Administration trained by the Training Center will conduct the training course comprised of the following modules: election cycle and management of electoral operations (model and authorities of election administration); polling day and guidelines for the polling process; credibility and security of elections.
This initiative is implemented in partnership with 19 NGOs funded as a result of the Grant Competition announced on February 3, 2017 and aims to promote the development of electoral capacity of political parties for the 2017 Local Self-government Elections.
