The enhancement of civic and electoral culture of voters is one of the key directions of the Center for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training. Towards this goal, the CEC Training Center, based on the Memorandum of Cooperation, has been implementing civic education and electoral culture development oriented educational programs at 19 universities across Georgia, since 2010. Electoral law (Teaching Course in Electoral Law) is one of the educational programs offered to law students, as well as the students of political and social sciences (Media School). The teaching course is aimed at the enhancement of necessary professional knowledge of university students in electoral law, development of their practical skills and raising their civic awareness.

In the first semester of 2016-2017, the CEC Training Center is implementing the Teaching program in Electoral Law at 8 universities, among them:

• Eastern European Teaching University (Law Faculty)
• Gori State Teaching University (Faculty of Social Sciences, Business and Law)
• Samtskhe-Javakheti State University (Law Faculty)
• Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences)
• Ilia University (Sciences and Arts Faculty)
• Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University (Sciences and Arts Faculty)

For implementing the teaching program, the CEC Training Center has produced electronic presentations, manuals and textbooks for professors and university students.
