The Central Election Commission of Georgia and it's Training Centre hosted the meeting with the group working on the issues of the persons with disabilities. Meeting participants received detailed information on innovative services provided by the Election Administration for the voters with disabilities for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Information on use of tactile ballot guide was presented, which was elaborated for the voters with visual impairments in order to ensure their independent participation in elections. Activities implemented in 2016 and important issues for improving election environment were discussed at the meeting.
Commission members and the Director of the CEC Training Center, as well as the representatives of International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), local non-governmental organizations and Public Defenders Office also attended the meeting.
