On August 1st Workshop on election security issues was held at the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia. Officials and experts from the CEC, Training Center, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia (MIA) and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) participated in the working meeting.
Vasu Mohan, Regional Director for Asia Pacific at IFES, leading expert in electoral security issues was supervising the meeting. Participants discussed the concept of guideline instructions in terms of ensuring the election security.
The manual will be elaborated by the representatives of Election Administration and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who participated in the training on electoral security on July 28-29.
The workshop was conducted by the CEC initiative in cooperation with the MIA and by the support of International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).
