In June 13 of this year, at 15:00 o’clock, between the Center for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings and representatives of Educational Institutions the meeting was held at the Hotel “Tbilisi Marriot”. At the meeting, representatives reviewed the results of training course in election law, arranged for law faculty students of higher educational institutions of Georgia, in September 28 and in December2, 2010.
Central Election Commission of Georgia and the Center will continue the project in civil education field and for these purposes, they concluded cooperation memorandum with the higher educational institutions of Georgia, which will support students of journalistic faculty to improve their professional knowledge, development of practical skills and civil consciousness.
Ilia State University of Georgia also joined the Memorandum, signed in September 28, 2010.
Certificates were given to the students of the first generation of “Law Clinic” – pilot program of Central Election Commission of Georgia.
Educational program in higher educational institutions of Georgia will be carried out by the Center Representatives, pursuant to the Memorandum.
Representatives of Central Election Commission and the Center, Rectors, Deans of higher educational institutions of Georgia, students of “Law Clinic”, representatives of local NGOs and International Organizations attended the meeting, as well.
