Another stage (2015-2016 academic year spring semester) of the Electoral Law Teaching Course has ended. The teaching course was implemented at 10 universities in Batumi, Kutaisi, Gori, Telavi and Tbilisi, among them:
Up to 20 students of Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and the Sokhumi State University took the teaching course at the Training Center, as part of the Law Clinic.
The history of Electoral Law of Georgia, sources and principles of electoral law, Electoral Administration status and system, pre-election campaign, funding elections, monitoring elections and media, electoral disputes, President of Georgia elections, Parliament of Georgia elections, Ajara Supreme Council Elections, local self-government representative body – City Council (Sakrebulo) elections, city/community mayor/chief executive elections, referendum and plebiscite, is a list of the topics that 434 students involved in the program took as part of the teaching course.
The aim of the training Course in Electoral Law designed by the Center is to promote raising civic awareness and electoral culture of youth, enhance necessary professional knowledge of students and the development of their practical skills. The program is implemented by semesters at 19 universities. From 2010 to date, 3,317 students have taken the teaching course.
