The Training Centre has Developed an Electronic Informational-Study Program ''Procedure of Voting Using Machines at the Polling Station''
For October 26, 2024 Parliamentary Elections Of Georgia, the Centre for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training has developed an electronic informational-study program "Procedure of Voting Using Machines at the Polling Station".
This represents an additional resource for the purpose of promoting adaptation to the technological innovations envisaged by the electoral reform. It is intended for the members of Precinct Election Commissions (PEC) and other interested persons.
The platform gives users the opportunity, to visit the informational-study program without time and space limitations, and to strengthen the acquired knowledge on issues of providing qualified service to voters using electronic devices.
Focusing on the novelties, the program focuses on the following issues:
- How does the PEC prepare on the E-Day and how will the procedure of activation of verification machines, electronic vote counting machines be carried out to start the polling process;
- By what standards does the PEC serve the voters and how the polling procedure at the polling station is conducted using electronic devices.
The electronic informational-study program developed by the Training Centre for the October 26, 2024 Elections, the guidelines and reminders published on the website are an essential part of the public platform. Any interested person has the opportunity to have equal access to election information, which, in turn, serves to establish an uniform understanding/perception of the procedures and aims to promote the implementation of activities based on professionalism by all parties involved in the polling process to ensure democratic elections.
