In May 25, 2010, at 13:00 o’clock, Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings will conduct informational campaign for the first-year students at Vera Garden, which will participate in local self-government elections for the first time. Campaign will involve the students of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, Georgian Technical University and Georgian Institute of Public Affairs. Campaign intends to motivate the students for participation in 30 May elections and inform them for full realization of their electoral rights.
Campaign includes the following:
- Booklets will be given to the students, containing information about voting procedures that voters will pass on the day of voting;
- Model voting process will be staged:
- Exhibition will be arranged by the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts;
- After exhibition, students will have chance to visit specially arranged election station, vote and reveal the best painting.
- While visiting the voting station, students will pass procedures relevant to Election Code;
- After counting of votes, Center will gift the winner artist.
- Via drawing, election related questions will be posed and “the most informed first voter” will be revealed and relevant certificate will be conferred.
