The representatives of the Election Administration of Georgia participated in a training course on Capacity Development of Election Management in New Delhi, India. During the 12 days the training participants received information on international experience and various important aspects of election cycle. Main topics of the training included: voter registration, raising awareness and voter education, vote tabulation procedures, election technology novelties and perspectives of their utilization, as well as experience of various countries, election campaign, opportunities for online learning, results management systems, gender equality and etc.
29 representatives of the election administrations from 16 countries attended the training. Within the framework of the visit the election administration representatives held meetings with the Chief Election Commissioner and members of the Election Commission of India (ECI).
The training course on Capacity Building of Election Management was conducted by the ECI's Indian Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM). The Training was organized within the framework of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme (ITEC) of the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India.
At the end of the training course participants were awarded with the certificates of completions.
