In order to facilitate the selection of highly qualified officials of the election administration, the Central Election Commission of Georgia (CEC) and the Center for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training (Training Center) conduct certification exams for election administration officials.

This year, the mentioned exams start from March 22 and will be held in 12 exam centers opened throughout Georgia. Citizens will be able to choose an examination center operating in one of the listed municipalities: Tbilisi, Telavi, Rustavi, Gori, Akhaltsikhe, Tkibuli, Kutaisi, Zestafoni, Ozurgeti, Senaki, Batumi.

The period of registration for the certification exam is March 7-13, 2024. During the mentioned period, the citizen will have the opportunity to register for the exam online or through the exam secretariats. The online registration link will be placed on the website of the Training Centre and will be activated on March 7 of this year.

The examination tests approved by the CEC decree will be applied in the certification process in an unchanged form, they are prepared by the Training Centre and aim to determine the knowledge of election legislation of Georgian citizens.

The examination will be conducted by electronic testing method. For each examinee, 24 exam tests are automatically selected using the random selection method, the examinee must score 15 points to receive a certificate. The validity period of the certificate is determined by the period of 5 years after passing the exam.

The Training Centre also offers citizens the opportunity to take a free preparatory training course for the certification exam of Election Administration officials, which is based on the discussion and practical tasks of the tests determined by the examination program. In case of the desire to take the preparatory course, the citizen must additionally mark the relevant consent box in the electronic program of registration for the exam.
