The Chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia, Giorgi Kalandarishvili, expressed his sincere gratitude to the staff members of the CEC, District Election Commissions (DEC) and the Training Centre on the Global Day Elections Day.

‘At first, on behalf of the Election Administration, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff members for their long-standing efforts. I believe, that those persons possess the crucial experience, promoting the development of the institutions. The Election Administration has completed various stages, among others, significantly important stages of modernizing elections and piloting electronic technologies. Furthermore, it should be highlighted that the 2024 stands ahead of us, and successful administration of elections this year will be the achievement of each staff member’ – stated Giorgi Kalandarishvili while delivering his speech to the staff members.

Giorgi Kalandarishvili expressed his gratitude to the 130 staff members for their efforts while working at the Election Administration for more than 10 years.

It is noteworthy that the Global Elections Day is being marked annually since 2005, on the first Thursday of February. The Global Elections Day serves several goals, including provision of information to the public on the importance of elections and enhancement of the elections-related awareness.
