On September 14, head officials of the CEC, the Training Centre and Civil Service Bureau held a working meeting.
In the framework of the meeting, the importance of preventing illegal usage of administrative resources and abuse of the official/positional status in civil institutions during the lection process was emphasized. In this regard, Giorgi Kalandarishvili, the CEC chairperson and Ekaterine Kardava, head of Civil Service Bureau, within their competence, discussed the mechanisms of cooperation aimed at raising civil servants awareness on this topic.
On the meeting Natia Zaalishvili, the Training Centre director presented the updated informational-educational E-learning course (available in georgian) - "Election Campaign and Administrative Resources - Prevention of Illegal Use of Administrative Resources in Electoral Processes and Response to Violations" designed to raise civil servants awareness. The program is developed in accordance with the recent legislative amendments and the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on usage of the administrative resources for October 2, 2021 elections, signed by the Central Election Commission (CEC), the Inter-Agency Commission and local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) on September 8, 2021.
Within the initiated cooperation, the Civil Service Bureau expressed its readiness to support civil servants engagement in informational-educational program and to ensure delivery of information about learning resource to civil service agencies on national, as well as on municipal levels.
Today’s meeting was also attended by Giorgi Sioridze, the CEC deputy chairperson and Irina Aghapishvili deputy head of Civil Service Bureau.
Within working format the CEC, the Training Centre and Civil Service Bureau discussed perspectives of future cooperation.
