As part of the memorandum of cooperation with partner universities, the Training Center implemented an authorial electoral law program at 6 Universities during the 2020-2021 academic year spring semester.
357 students (210 female, 147 male) from Ilia State University, Grigol Robakidze University, Caucasus International University, Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University, Gori State Teaching University and Akaki Tsereteli State University took the semestraial course.
As part of the program, bachelor’s students of the faculties of law, social sciencies and journalism were provided detailed information about national regulations related to elections and disussed international electoral practices. At the end of the accredited educational program, the students passed final exams through July 14, 2021.
Notably, pursuant to the WHO and the Government of Georgia recommendations, the academic program was adapted and the educational process was conducted via online platforms, due to the measures taken for the prevention of the spread of the COVID-19.
Another stage of the academic program in electoral law will commence for 2020-2021 academic year. The Training Center’s authorial program has been implemented since 2010. More than 6,300 students have taken the program to date.
