In accordance with the strategic plan of Election Administration 2020 – 2023, Training Centre, in cooperation with the CEC Human Resources Department, implemented an orientation training program “Overview of Elections – General Training Course” for new employees of the election administration. The aim of the course is to promote the continuous professional development of the election administration staff.

24 newly elected members (women – 15, men - 9) of 21 DECs took part in the training held in online format on February 22.

As part of the program, the participants were acquainted with the following topics: historical overview of elections and elective state bodies in Georgia, guiding principles for democratic elections and legal framework; the structure of the Election Administration; competences of DECs and rules of operation defined by the regulations (general overview); legal issues related to labor relations.

An orientation training program for newly appointed/elected staff (CEC staff member, District Election Commission member, intern) is implemented in stages, in accordance with the 2021 action plan of the Election Administration of Georgia.
