The CEC Training Center has launched the Election Administration trainers Training course aimed at training Election Administration Officers for the President of Georgia October 28, 2018 Elections. After taking the training course, the trainers will deliver intensive training programs on electoral legislation to DEC and PEC members.

The event was opened by the CEC and the Training Center leadership. They provided to the participants detailed information about novelties in training for the Electoral Administration, emphasizing the new concept developed for trainings of DEC and PEC members.

In frames of the event the representative of International Foundation of Electoral Systems (IFES) Mr. Davit Ghonghadze and the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Mr. Nodar Saakashvili briefed the participants about the matters related to electoral security.

As part of the Training Course developed by the Training Center, the participants are exposed to various important topics, among them:

• Concept of training for the Election Commission members – the training through focused programs is suggested; based on which, leadership and other members (9 members) of PECs will gain specialized knowledge relevant to their competencies;
• administration of trainings - the trainings system and stages, trainings methodology, training materials;
• matters falling within the powers of DECs;
• matters falling within the powers of PECs;
• the polling process (including etiquette of conversation and protection of the norms of conduct with voters with disabilities);
• matters of voter personal data protection;
• filling out the summary protocol of the polling results;
• electoral security;
• voting day application/complaints.

The CEC Training Center implements Electoral Administration TOT through IFES support.
