Five day training course on diplomatic protocol and business relations was conducted for the representatives of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia and its Training Center. The main topics covered during the course included the concept of the diplomatic protocol, historical background and legislative framework, international standards for diplomatic protocol and diplomatic protocol in practice.

The course covered the theoretical and practical learning. The participants were discussing the recognized norms and traditions of international relations through practical workshops. Within the frames of the training course, the participants got acquainted with the basic protocol events and procedures, also received information on practical aspects of foreign policy affairs.

Maia Nasrashvili, an invited trainer from “European Academic Center” was leading the training course.

The course was conducted on August 6-11 by the financial support of the Council of Europe.
