Bosnia and Herzegovina Delegation gets familiar with educational projects of the Election Administration (EA) of Georgia.  Today, the representatives of the delegation met with the representatives of the Central Election Commission (CEC) and its Training Center. Giorgi Sharabidze, the CEC deputy chairperson talked to the delegation about the activities of the Training Center and the EA as well as ongoing projects. The Parties also agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which envisions deepening bilateral cooperation between the election administrations.

“The representatives of the Bosnia-Herzegovina’s election administration wanted to meet with us within the framework of the Council of Europe (CoE) project to share our experience concerning the activities of the Training Center. The meeting was very interesting, as they noted, the CEC training center is one of the first and successful projects in Europe, and they want to share training center’s experience in order to adopt it in their respective country, “- commented Giorgi Sharabidze after the meeting.

Suad Arnautović, the head of the delegation and member of the election administration of Bosnia and Herzegovina noted that it is critically important to receive comprehensive information on the training center's activities.

"The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina wants to create a similar training center. We would like to share your experience and knowledge in this direction. We also talked about the MoU that will simplify the exchange of delegations, experience sharing, observer visits etc. I hope this will strengthen the cooperation between our institutions, - "said Suad Arnautović.

According to Natia Zaalishvili, a director of the Training Center, within the framework of the visit, the delegation members will receive detailed information about the educational projects Training Center implements for electoral stakeholders. "The delegation will be able to attend the training program organized by the Training Center for political parties and potential officials of the election administration. We think the cooperation of such format between the election administrations is very positive and serves to promote and support democratic processes around the world ", - noted Natia Zaalishvili.

The visit of the delegation comprising the representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina election administration and the CoE started on June 6 and will end on June 9. The study visit is carried out with the financial support of the CoE.
