From March 16, 2017, the CEC Training Center, in the format of a law clinic, has started the teaching course in electoral law, with the law students of the following universities of Georgia: Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Sokhumi State University and Caucasus University.
The first meeting was opened by Natia Zaalishvili, Director of the Training Center. She briefed students about goals and objectives of the teaching course. She also acquainted them with the specificity of the law clinic and the opportunities that will help students in the enhancement of professional skills.
To support the implementation of the teaching course under the law clinic, the CEC Training Center has designed electronic presentations and a textbook for university students.
The teaching course is aimed at the enhancement of necessary professional knowledge of students in electoral law, development of their practical skills and raising civic awareness. The Training Center will also implement the mentioned teaching course delivered in the format of lectures and spanning the entire semester at 19 partner universities in Georgia.
