On September 26, 2016, the Central Election Commission of Georgia and the Training Center held a presentation of mid-term report (available in Georgian) on October 8, 2016 Elections for the representatives of local NGOs and international organizations. The report comprises the period from setting Parliamentary elections, June 8 to September 8, 2016, and describes various important activities implemented by the electoral administration.
At the presentation focus was made on several important issues, including on voters, precinct election commissions, observers, trainings organized by the Training Center, awareness-raising campaign, cooperation with electoral stakeholders and the CEC gender policy.
One of chief novelties the Election Administration will offer to the public for the first time on October 8, will be broadcasting of the counting of results at the CEC. Any individual interested will be able to, through the Internet, online, follow the vote counting procedures through the CEC official website and the social networks, available through 360-degree video shooting technology at the CEC.
The Election Administration will actively continue in the future informing electoral stakeholders about important activities, which is necessary for transparent electoral environment that is in line with international standards.
