In September 28 of current year, at 12 o’clock, Central Election Commission, Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings and Higher Educational institutions of Georgia will sign the cooperation memorandum.
Signing parties express the wish of cooperation under common acknowledgment and respect, for supporting civil awareness of students, development of practical skills and preparation of lawyers corresponding modern requirements.
Central Election Commission, Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings will widen its cooperation field and from 2011 plans to introduce training course in higher educational institutions in regions. So, in 3-11 November, 2010 Center arranged meetings with rectors and deans of law faculties of Akhaltsikhe, Telavi, Gori, Batumi, Zugdidi and Kutaisi Higher educational institutions. Meeting covered the issues of training program implementation, concerning election legislation in the said universities.
Within the limits of this memorandum, educational program in higher educational institutions will be carried by the representatives of the Center. Studying Course is assigned for 3rd and 4th course students of law faculty.
In the nearest future, Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings plans to conclude agreement with higher educational institutions of regions.
