The Training Center has commenced the Training of Trainers (ToT) for the project - Courses for Electoral Administrators. 25 trainers will take necessary training On May 17-19, 2016 in Tbilisi; later they will implement the training course for the ethnic minority and high mountainous 22 districts.
The mentioned initiative will facilitate the formation of qualified human resources; this will subsequently facilitate the selection of professional staff by the election administration and electoral stakeholders.
Prior to the launch of the training, Tamar Zhvania, Chairmen of the CEC, Natia Zaalishvili, Director of the Training Center and Nermin Nisic, Project Manager of the International Foundation For Electoral Systems (IFES) welcomed the participants and spoke about the importance of the mentioned project.
The training course - Courses for Electoral Administrator envisages learning about precinct election commission work on the polling day, as part of which such important issues will be reviewed as procedures to be conducted prior to the commencement of polling, the polling process, closing an election precinct, procedures to be conducted prior to opening a ballot box, opening a ballot box, procedures to be conducted prior to drawing up a protocol summarizing polling results, drawing up a protocol summarizing polling results, publicity of a summarizing protocol, as well as applications/complaints on the polling day.
The CEC and the Training Center are implementing the training course with the Support of International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).
