In September 28 of current year, at 12 o’clock, Central Election Commission, Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings and Higher Educational institutions of Georgia will sign the cooperation memorandum. Meeting will be attended by representatives of Ministry of Education of Georgia, International and Local NGOs.
Signing parties express the wish of cooperation under common acknowledgment and respect, for supporting civil awareness of students, development of practical skills and preparation of lawyers corresponding modern requirements.
Within the limits of this memorandum, educational program in higher educational institutions will be carried by the representatives of the Center. Studying Course is assigned for 3rd and 4th course students of law faculty. Successful students will take internship at election administration.
Studies at three higher institutions (Caucasus University, Tbilisi State University of Economical Relations and Guram Tavartkiladze University) will begin in ongoing year. In other institutions and in Regions it will begin for 2011.
Studies at Caucasus University will have form of law clinic, which includes distance learning and passing of obligatory practice course at election administration.
CEC and LEPL Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings will introduce the same educational activities throughout the whole territory of Georgia.
