The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia and the Centre for Electoral Systems Development, reforms and trainings presented the annual report of 2015. Representatives of local non-governmental and international organizations, political parties and media got introduced to the activities performed by the Election Administration during the last year. Bilingual (English and Georgian) report and audio version of the report for the visually impaired persons were disseminated to the participants.
CEC Chairperson emphasized the activities directed towards the raising of civil awareness and voter education.
The report states, that 2015 can be evaluated as a very important stage in terms of declared principles, goals and objectives: 2015 is the first year of the development performed by the CEC and the CEC Training Center according to the Strategic Plan 2015-2019 and 2015 Action Plan of the Election Administration, majority of the planned events were implemented completely and in a timely manner.
Upon completion of the presentation, meeting participants made evaluations on the CEC activities: according to their assessments, stakeholders must continue close cooperation with election administration to ensure effective service for the voters, transparency and electoral integrity.
Election administration continues to improve of electoral environment and carry out activities directed towards to development.
