Three-Day Seminar on Electoral Issues

On June 20-21 representatives of Central Election Commission of Georgia (CEC) and Election Commission of India shared mutual electoral experiences at the three-day seminar conducted at the CEC.

International standards of voter education, mechanisms of election monitoring, voter registration, challenges in electoral management along with other important issues were discussed by five experts of Indian EMB Training Center - “India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management” together with 27 representatives of the CEC, its Training Center and District Election Commissions(DEC).

At the seminar, participants also discussed the mutual experiences in terms of risk management in electoral processes, effective communication with electoral stakeholders and political party financing.

At the end of the seminar participants were awarded with certificates.

The seminar was implemented on the basis of Memorandum of Understanding signed between the CEC of Georgia and Election Commission of India.
