Under the auspices of the Central Election Commission of Georgia, in cooperation with the Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings and the UNDP project “Credible and Sustainable Electoral Institutions and Processes” 112 trainers were selected which will provide educational programs in the field of election legislation for the members of precinct and district election commission.

Trainings of the members of the DEC will be carried out in 5-6 September throughout Georgia.

Training course of the DEC members includes the review of election legislation, issues under the DEC competence, polling day and further activities of PEC and DEC, according to the following topics:

• Composition and working regimen of DEC 
• Activities of District Election Commission during pre-election period
• Lists of voters
• Registration of election participants
• Opening of the election station and polling process; 
• Closing of the election station and summing up of the voting results; 
• Receiving and sorting of election documentation at District Election Commission 
• Summing up of votes at district election commission
• Procedures for application/complaints
