In order to promote the implementation of a pilot project using technologies in N4 Krtsanisi DEC for October 2, 2021 Municipal Elections, members of Precinct Election Commissions are undergoing intensive trainings.

In accordance with the training concept elaborated by the Training Centre, head officials (Chairperson, deputy Chairperson, Secretary) of 31 PECs were trained through the period of September 14-16. The next stage will be launched on September 17, which is intended for the re-training of PECs’ full composition.

Based on the practical training, the members of the commissions will get acquainted with the rules of operation of the special vote-counting machine, activities to be carried out by the election commission during the voting process in compliance with the epidemiological protocol and procedural innovations provided for the pilot project, which is related to the rules for filling in the ballot paper by the voter, as well as the regulations for counting and sorting ballot papers.

During the training, the participants will perform episodic staging of the voting process using a special vote counting machine, simulation of sorting/counting ballot papers; also, the technique of drawing up a summary protocol will be emphasized. In addition, the members of the election commissions will receive relevant instruction on the issues of participation of voters with disabilities in polling.

The training process is being held in compliance with all the recommendations related to the pandemic. The trainers re-trained by the Training Centre will provide trainings through the period of September 17-25. Schedule is available at the link (available in Georgian).
