Training for the CEC Information/Call Center Operators (Stage 1)
The Training Center, for October 21, 2017 Municipal Elections, has commenced the implementation of training courses to support professional development of the CEC Information/Call Center operators.
The goal of the above-mentioned training course is to enhance qualification of the CEC Information/Call Center operators, to ensure that they provide exhaustive information around elections related matters to interested individuals.
On September 7, 2017, 1st stage of the trainings was conducted, as part of which Information/Call Center operators were familiarized with the following important issues:
- The status, system and composition of Georgia Election Administration;
- Main principles of performance of Election Administration officers;
- Access to public information;
- Appoinging election commission members by parties and terminating their authority;
- first session of precinct election commissions;
- powers of district and precinct election commissions and commission leadership;
- right to participate in municipality bodies elections;
- composition of self-governing city/self-governing community council;
- nominating/registration of party lists and city council majoritarian candidates and cancelling decision on nomination;
- nomination/registration of a candidate for mayor of a self-governing city/self-governing community;
- determine the sequential number of electoral subjects;
- establish the results of elections;
The training was held in the question and answer mode, participatnts gained exhaustive information about issues of interest to them.
The trainings will be conducted in three stages, the next stage is schedulef for September.
