Information about the Trainings of Precinct Election Commission members for the Run-off Local Self-government elections
under the aegis of the Central Election Commission the Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings is conducting additional trainings for the Run-off Local Self-government Elections. These trainings are designed for those precinct election commissions which, under the decision of the upper election commission, had their authority ceased following the June 15, 2014 elections and they were staffed anew for the run-off elections.
Trainings of precinct election commissions will be delivered by the employees of and the trainers trained by the Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings Center.
Training topics include the authority of precinct election commission on the polling day, main emphasis will be attached to such important issues as:
- opening of a polling station and the procedures to be carried out prior to polling
- the polling process
- closing polling place and the procedures to be performed prior to the opening of a ballot box
- opening ballot box, sorting/counting ballot papers
- sealing election documentation
- summarizing polling results
- applications/complaints on the polling day
- maintaining a polling day records book
Furthermore, within the frames of practical trainings, the simulation of the episodes of the polling day will also be performed (procedures to be performed from 07:00 am to 08:00 am).
Trainings will be delivered during July 9-10, 2014 at 54 election precincts of five election districts (Please find detailed information in the charts).
