The Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings jointly with Legal Department of the Central Election Commission of Georgia will provide trainings on electoral issues to local self-government and regional administration lawyers; the training will be implemented with the UN Development Program (UNDP) financial support.

The trainings will be held from April 29 through May 5 at Telavi, Bolnisi, Tbilisi, Borjomi, Kutaisi, Senaki and Batumi Resource Centers.

As part of the trainings the participants will be acquainted with the electoral legislation updates and such important issues as:

1. The role of local self-government bodies in the electoral processes
2. Involvement in and restrictions related to the involvement in the pre-election campaign (agitation)
3. The overview of electoral legislation updates
4. The use of administrative resources

The manuals developed jointly by the Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings and the CEC Legal Department will be distributed to training participants.
