Meeting with the Public Defender and members of the Committee of the National Minorities of Public Defender Office of Georgia

On October 23, 2013, representatives of the Election Administration met Public Defender and members of the Committee of the National Minorities of Public Defender Office of Georgia. Chairman of the Central Election Commission informed participants about the projects accomplished for guaranteeing equal election environment for those representing national minorities.

Thus, various activities were accomplished, for example, LEPL Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings provided translation of guidelines, posters, voters' memos and memo instructions of PEC members and educational film "Polling day procedures" in Azerbaijani and Armenian languages.

The meeting was held within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed on June 7, 2012 between the CEC and the Public Defender’s Office (Council of Ethnic Minorities).
