The certification exams for the members of Precinct Election Commission (PEC) has been completed.

Exam centers (information available in Georgian) opened in 8 municipalities served the citizens. Those willing to take the exam had the opportunity to choose an exam center operating in one of the listed municipalities: Telavi, Bolnisi, Marneuli, Gardabani, Tetritskaro, Akhaltsikhe, Akhalkalaki, Ninotsminda.

For the purposes of promoting an inclusive election environment, the Training Centre provided translation of the exam tests into languages understandable to ethnic minorities living in Georgia. The exam was held in Georgian-Armenian-Azerbaijani languages.

Out of a total of 2490 citizens registered for the exam, 1929 examinees appeared in the exam centers. According to the results of passing the exam, 1904 persons received the certificate of PEC members (756 - women; 1148 - man). The examination process was monitored by a local non-governmental organization: International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy - with 8 observers.

In the period from February 19 to March 1 of this year, the Center for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training conducted the certification exams for the Precinct Election Commission members in cooperation with the Central Election Commission of Georgia.
