Representatives of the Central Election Commission (CEC) and Centre for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training (Training Centre), participated in the celebrations of the 25th Anniversary of the Central Electoral Commission of Moldova.
As part of anniversary events, Election Administration’s representatives attended the International Conference” Electoral Reform - a pillar for strengthening the participatory democracy”, on November 22 in Chisinau. Otar Buskivadze, Head of the Finance Department, informed conference participants on the Georgian election administration’s experience in terms of electoral issues and the adoption of electronic technologies, as well as information on implemented pilot projects.
Conference participants including representatives from various election administrations shared their experiences with each other and discussed such important topics as the EMB's role in electoral reform and the role of EMBs partners’ organizations in the improvement of electoral practice and legislation.
Otar Buskivadze, Head of the Finance Department, Giorgi Santuriani, Head of the Legal Department, Maia Gudadze, Head of Training Centre’s Training Programs’ Service, Nino Kikalishvili the leading trainer attended events in Chisinau at the invitation of Central Electoral Commission of Moldova. Representatives from More than 20 countries' EMBs as well as representatives from local and international organizations attended anniversary celebrations.
