The CEC Training Centre held an informational meeting with the representatives of Penitentiary Institutions of Special Penitentiary Service – the State Sub-Department within the system of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.

The purpose of the meeting was to inform the participants about the activities to be carried out by the Election Administration to ensure the participation of the voters in the penitentiary institutions of the Special Penitentiary Service and to promote the realization of their universal suffrage for October 2, 2021 Municipal Elections.

During the event, emphasis was placed on the issues related to the organization of electoral processes in Penitentiary Institutions, including persons entitled to stay in the building and their legal status, as well as the measures to be taken to ensure services in compliance with the epidemiological protocol for voters during the voting process.

Informational meeting was held in online format, on September 28. 11 representatives of 10 Penitentiary Institutions of Special Penitentiary Service participated in the event.
