The meeting of the working group on issues of persons with disabilities (PWDs) was held at the Central Election Commission (CEC). Tamar Zhvania, CEC Chairperson made opening remarks at the meeting. The Director of the Training Centre Natia Zaalishvili attended the meeting as the member of Working Group.

The discussion was centered on the draft Strategic Plan 2020-2023 of Election Administration (EA). Ana Mikeladze, CEC Spokesperson and Head of EA’s Strategic Planning Team presented the draft four-year strategic plan.

Sophio Sitchinava, Head of CEC Coordination, Planning and Reporting Department detailed the group members about the draft strategic plan 2020 of the EA and activities to be implemented concerning PWDs. Future joint activities were also planned at today's meeting to promote the electoral environment accessible to persons with disabilities.

As the involvement of the civil sector in the development of a strategic plan and action plan is important for the election administration, the CEC hopes that their views will help refine and successfully implement the plans.
