On October 15, 2024, the Training Centre held an information meeting with the representatives of the Penitentiary Institutions of the Special Penitentiary Service.

The mentioned project includes aspects of effective cooperation between the Election Administration and the Penitentiary Service, and serves to facilitate the participation of voters in penitentiary institutions for the October 26 elections.

Within the framework of the profile program developed by the Training Centre, the participants got acquainted with the following basic issues: persons with active electoral rights in a penitentiary institution and guarantees of exercising the right; the manner of placing campaign materials and informational resources depicting voting procedures in order to inform the accused/convicts with the right to vote; arrangement of the election precinct created in the penitentiary institution and security standards; voting procedure at the polling station/by mobile ballot box created in the penitentiary institution; guarantees of secrecy of vote, free expression of will, protection of personal data; persons with the right to be in the polling station and their legal status; regulations for photo-video recording of the polling process at the polling station created in the penitentiary institution.

The informational meeting was held in a remote format and 27 representatives of 14 penitentiary institutions participated in it.
